PID continues to monitor developments regarding COVID-19. Here are the steps we are taking to do our part to continue to protect the health and safety of our Paradise community.
According to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the COVID-19 virus has not been detected in drinking-water supplies. Based on current evidence, the risk to the water supply is low. The Paradise Irrigation District already treats and disinfects its water to protect water quality from waterborne pathogens such as viruses. Our customers can continue to use Paradise water to wash their hands in accordance with their current water advisory. As a reminder, unless the water advisory has been lifted for your property, all Paradise properties are still under the post-Camp Fire Water advisory issued in December 2018. If you’re not sure if the advisory has been lifted for your property you can find information on our online map (https://pidwater.com/recovery
) or call our office at 530-877-4971.
Drinking-Water Fill Stations
For the convenience, health, and safety of our customers filling water containers at one of our drinking water fill stations, we have installed hand wash stations.
These fill stations are in Paradise and Magalia at the following locations:
PID Office, 6332 Clark Road
Paradise CA 95969
(at the back of the parking lot)
Treatment Plant Fill Machines
CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Service Calls & New Service Orders
Until further notice, PID field personnel will only be responding to emergency calls such as a major water leak or no water complaints.
Fireflow tests and Interim backflow will resume once we return to normal operations.
Our contractors continue to focus on service lateral replacements for rebuilds and we do not expect there will be an impact to our customers planning for their final inspections.
OFFICE IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC - Customer service staff are still available to assist over the phone, online or email.
Two Payment Drop Boxes are available at 6332 Clark Road. A blue drive-up drop box is located at the entrance to our parking lot off of Rossi Way. Our walk-up drop box is on the building wall on the same side as our main office entrance (facing Rossi Way). Payments deposit safely inside the building. Drop boxes are secure and checked daily.
During this office closure, we are waiving the fee for paying your bill by credit card over the phone. We are also waiving any penalties for late payments and postponing any shut-offs due to non-payment.
We are still availabe by phone, online, or email. Customers may experience longer than normal response times.
Payment Toll-Free Number: 1-866-205-8706
Paradise Resident 5-Gallon Jug Pickup
Paradise residents may still visit the office during business hours to pick up their 5-gallon water storage jug. The jugs will be available at the front entrance. We ask that visitors maintain at least 6 feet from others and enter the entry-way one at a time.
To reduce the gathering size of our monthly PID Board meetings we ask that our community join our Facebook Livestream to participate instead of attending meetings in person.
To improve participation for our Livestream audience, during the upcoming March 18th and April 15th meeting we will be selecting public comments from Facebook viewers to be read to PID’s Board of Directors during the meeting. This will be the first-ever online public board meeting held by the Paradise Irrigation District. We ask that participants remain patient with the process and keep comments relevant to District Business.
Online participants must post their comments for items not on the agenda on the Livestream thread by 6:40 p.m. At 6:40 the President of the board will ask any public comments to be read to the Board members. The Board cannot take action on any matter not on the agenda. Public comments specific to an agenda item will be read directly after the agenda item and before the board votes on an item.
It is our pleasure to continue to serve our community and we appreciate and thank you for your continued cooperation.
