Project Description - On hold due to budgetary constraints
PID’S Skyway water main in the A Zone from Clark Road to near the B Reservoir includes 4-inch, 5-inch, 6-inch and 8-inch steel main. This project replaces and upgrades 4,950 feet of that old steel main with 12-inch C900 PVC water main.
The A Zone main needs strengthening to properly benefit from the treatment plant's A Zone supply in case of emergency or when the 42-inch transmission line has a planned maintenance outage.

Project Status
On hold due to budgetary constraints
PID's board considered these alternatives:
Option 1: PID crews construct the project.
Option 2: PID contracts with an outside firm specializing in this type of project.
The PID board approved Option 2 as presented in the 2017/2018 budget.
Benefits to PID and its Customers
This project will benefit flow along upper Skyway and adjoining streets and support water deliveries throughout the PID system in the event of failure or planned outage of the 42-inch transmission pipeline. Fire flows will be improved.
